The entire amplification and processing part of the MASTERS amplifiers was developed by a design team led by Michele Marani and is manufactured at MARANI production facilities.

The DSP and power units used in MASTERS products have significant differences in technical capabilities and software solutions from serial MARANI products. Presets for the MASTERS speaker systems cannot be used for standard MARANI power amplifier and processor models, as they contain a number of unique settings that require special MASTERS plug-ins.

The MDA 4-7000DM is a high-performance power amplifier with a built-in digital processor. It has a total output power of 4x1300 W (@ 8 Ohms) / 4x1700 W (@ 4 Ohm). The 4.3 inch high-definition touch screen clearly displays the system status, and the sufficient power is equipped with a powerful built-in DSP with 4 input and 4 output processing channels to enable this power amplifier to work both in installed and portable sound reinforcement systems.

DSP and AD/DA converters both operate at 96 kHz sampling rate. A full set of processing functions provides a comprehensive solution for speaker systems. The automatic switching function with 3 priority levels enables to back up the input signal sources. The input section offers the following blocks: gain, delay, noise gate, EQ, compressor and FIR, the output section — gain, delay, polarity, X-over, FIR, EQ, RMS compressor and peak limiter. The PEQ has up to 17 filter types to choose from. The output crossover filters include classic Linkwitz-Riley, Bessel, Butterworth filters, the MARANI brand unique NXF (Notched X-over Filter), FIR filter, and newly added MIR linear phase filter which can make the phase of the crossover point easier to join while maintaining a very low delay.

  • 4x1300 W (@ 8 Ohm) / 4x1700 W (@ 4 Ohm) output power, independent power supply for each channel, 4 channels can output maximum power at the same time regardless of whether they are connected to full-range or sub-low speakers.
  • The built-in MARANI DSP runs at 96 kHz sampling rate. The brand-new circuit design of MDA4-7000DM has such advantages as soft sound, powerful self-protection function, low noise and high efficiency.
  • Automatic source priority switching function. The device is equipped with 4 analog input interfaces, 2 independent AES digital input interfaces and 2 Dante network interfaces (optional). Each input channel can be set to 3 priority levels to effectively ensure the reliability of system signal transmission during major events.
  • A new "zero attack time" hard limiter to better protect the speaker unit.
  • AEQ (Auto Equalization Tool) that supports automatic measurement and generation of FIR coefficients, as well as the import of FIR coefficients generated by a third-party software.
  • A new MIR linear phase filter is added to the output crossover filter, which can avoid the phase distortion caused by the traditional IIR filter.
  • The built-in dynamic loudness filter, the working principle is to self-adaptively boost the ultra-low and ultra-high frequency bands according to the equal loudness curve of the human ear, and the boost ratio is determined by the magnitude of the signal amplitude, which significantly improves the overall hearing of the small and medium-sized speaker system.
  • The network control port is independent of the dual Dante network port, and the control network system and the audio network system are structurally separated. Thus, the system structure is simpler and clearer and the error rate of the network part is lower. Even if the control network fails, it will not affect the Dante audio network connection. With simple and intuitive management software, the success rate of one-time connection is extremely high.
  • The system gain of the power amplifier can be switched via the software, 2 options are 28/34 dB. The maximum input levels can also be switched via the software, 2 options are +15/+21 dBu, which is convenient for different usage scenarios and easily matches different front and rear gain architectures.
